I have been given a verbal offer of 145k base for a Sr. Associate role as Data Analytics Lead. The offer doesn’t come with any kind of bonuses or stocks.
I have a Masters and 5+ years of exp and my current comp is 115.5k + approx 5k bonus + ~20k in stocks (yearly refreshes) which makes my total current comp to 140k.
Is it worth taking the offer for increase in just the base?
What are my chances of negotiating into a VP level role with at-least 155k?

Agree with other comments. While not out of the Chicago office, the company culture doesn’t seem great overall. Think this will be the same for client and non client facing. They don’t make you feel valued, especially for juniors, and high burnout is prevalent. No mentorship or growth experiences, has no inclusive or diverse culture, and it’s nonstop work for little pay and recognition. Not a place where people and leaders can grow.
I can also attest to C1. Worked in their Chicago office and it wasn’t the best work experience. Actuaries are heavily favored and given faster career development. Basically no diversity. In my almost 3 years there I got barely a 1.5% raise. Ended up moving to a Big 4 and got a 50% bump in pay. So yeah I’d probably look elsewhere if I was OP..
