I read, study, practice a lot. I invite feedback from my team and model what giving and taking feedback constructively looks like. I found two great mentors and a coach to help me work through challenges and to guide me in my continued learning.
And I remind myself regularly how much I’ve learned and got far I’ve come.
Coach
it takes time and reps to manage people effectively. Don't think there is a shortcut. The only thing id advise is don't shy away from the uncomfortable discussions. It gets easier with practice, and the most ineffective leaders from my POV are those that are never open to have uncomfortable moments.
If it's something that comes up now and then, it's just a matter of banishing the thought. Just consciously remind yourself that you know what you're doing and that's why you're in the position you're in. Don't let doubts run rampant. Everyone has self-doubts at times, at least healthy people do, but it's important to just kick them aside and do your job.
