Hi guys ,
I am in a US project in Accenture. We have long calls in the night timings. My other teammate has backed out saying she won't attend any calls as she got some medical condition so she won't attend long calls which extend till 9:30.Other teammate is a junior. The managers are expecting me to join all the calls. No help I am getting. And they all being Tamil, I think some partiality is going on between them.Even our onsite lead is of no use.She expects me to attend long calls.
What should I do .pls suggest?

Just remember that their criticism is their opinion and it doesn’t mean it’s true. Always stay true to yourself. If there is something in that criticism that you think you could improve on then use it, if not brush it off your shoulders and keep it moving. Never let them see you sweat.

Here here! Sometimes a delicate dance and then other times IDGAF about what others say or think! Sometimes my anxiety gets the best of me 😣 but it’s getting better ❤️🩹

I feel like this tends to be more part of elementary culture than secondary. Not that it never happens in secondary but I think secondary by nature lends itself to each of us kind of doing our own thing and minding our own business unless asked for help. Of course, the flip side is that help and advice in a positive way is less readily available.

I believe someone mentioned earlier that time takes care of these type of toxic folks! 🎉🎉🎉
I had a real problem with a peer when I was a long-term middle school math sub. She taught English in the next classroom and she had a holy fit every time the least little noise came from my classroom. Thankfully the assignment came to an end after 8 weeks.
Sounds like a control freak! 🙄 Everyone has days when the kids are a little loud or the activity encourages that.
As my dad always told my sister and me, "Consider the source; then examine yourself. If the criticism is useful, use it; if not, ignore it and move on but always be grateful because someone cared enough to notice you." He taught and coached for 38 years.

I have been practicing that type of gratitude for sure! Definitely a healthier shift for me!
