How important is where your MBA is from for jobs? While I have some great experience and references, I graduated college with a 2.9 so idk how much of a chance I have with some good colleges.

For MBA, school absolutely matters a lot. If you aren't going to a top school, don't waste your time unless your employer pays for it and it's a "check the box" type thing that will get you promoted.

like

Second this - Employer pays or don’t do it unless it’s a top one.

like

Depends on what you are trying to do but generally the school matters a lot.

like

Absolutely. The main benefit of a top MBA program is the networking and name recognition. If you go to a random school because they take everyone or do a online MBA, you lose out on that valuable network

So either top MBA or don’t do a MBA.

Bad MBA is a waste of money

like

Network as in network with companies and your peers.

If you're not gonna get an MBA from an M7 program, don't bother. At the minimum, top 15 program but it depends what your goals are.

Which data science course would you suggest?
1. Scaler Data Science
2. IIITB course and John Moore University
3. BITS Pilani DS course
4. Leave these course of PGD and go for MS altogether.

Currently having an experience of 2 years and 4 months with experience in Data Science, currently working as a Business Analyst at Axis.

Thinking of studying side by side and upscaling if possible.

Hey guys, need some advice. I was fortunate enough to get the Consortium fellowship at Ross but am also stuck on the CBS waitlist and am still planning to apply to Wharton in R3. Assuming I get into CBS/Wharton, is there that much of a difference between them to forgo scholarship money? For context, I want to get into product management at FAANG/fintech with pursuing MBB as a plan B. Thanks in advance!

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

Are schools even considered in the resale value of a house? Thoughts and insights appreciated!

Considering a jump from FTE back to consulting. I have roughly 8 IT YOE, CSPO, CSM, and my MBA. I'm considering a Sr Product Owner role with the mind set of moving to Product Management within the next 1-2 years. With that background and currently being in a candidate's market, roughly what should I target as my salary?

Right now, I'm at 100k with 5% bonus as a BA.
