Hi Londoners ,
Moving in from outside UK.
Looking out for some areas in west / NW London where one can live with an infant on max 1400£ rental while requiring one partner to travel to Central occasionally for work and the other person 3 days a week to LHR.
Some Qns:
1) Will 1 Bedroom be too cramped for the infant to grow up? Should I raise budget?
2) I prefer being in family /childcare friendly areas. Had Harrow, Acton in mind . Are they good for my budget or any other suggestions?

I have been kicked out of GS twice, unless you are traveling internationally I found little additional value. Now after hitting 1k in May/June I jump to another carrier to increase my flexibility for personal travel. This has worked for me but my situation maybe unique.
Got renewed
How many $ did you spend? I spent a little over half this year than last so a steep decline
GS is 50k spend... did you have intl assignments to hit that?
What’s the best things about having GS? Seriously.
Service when you really need it! They go above and beyond. Too many to list, but it all centers around service and making travel a lot easier than it otherwise is
@A2, as a sad 1K myself, I always hear it’s the combo of being able to use your GPUs/RPUs on award flights + the higher GPU/RPU upgrade priority. Though granted, I love international travel so it matters more to me. Don’t really know what else particularly meaningful it gets you... unless you’re the type of person who takes unusual pleasure in pre-pre boarding the 1Ks or getting served your meal before 1Ks the few times they remember that either status level is supposed to be served first.
The main thing is you get taken care of better when things go wrong. For example it’s really helpful if you have a tight connection (they’ll pick you up at the gate and drive you to your next flight for example). Also great if you need to rebook at the last minute or have to change flights due to a cancellation or delay. Plus almost always get complimentary domestic upgrades.
First time GS here. Spent $41k, based in Chi
