35% at least. Especially if jumping to another Big4. Same circus with different clowns.
Salary would be a low priority consideration for me. Bigger factors would be whether I am happy with my current position situation, my team, and whether I see a long term career opportunity. Even if the salary was 25% more which equates only to 25k more for a year I probably wouldn’t take it given my current situation with a promotion to manager coming up. I would consider 25% if it included a title upgrade and I had a reasonable expectation that I would fit in well with my new team.
Probably like 25% for me? I feel like I'm getting really good opportunities where im at so makes for a higher premium needed
I left for a 5% raise but things were awful at my last company and the new company said it was the max they paid seniors and I believed them
I’ve been told unless something is wrong at your current firm or you’re already at the top of your pay band, you shouldn’t jump for less than 25%. Aim for 35% ideally
Would anyone say they’d change their answers above if you were jumping ships as a 2nd yr associate?
