Including retirement accounts, 50% between wife and I; we rent don’t own
50% of my income and husband probably 75% and we own our home!
Nice!
Last year I saved and invested 50% of my take home (5% saved and 45% invested).
Depending on my raise and bonuses, I’d like to aim for 55-60% this year.
Couple, 1 income till last year. Other partner was in grad school. Approximately 30% of take home. Have student loans and a small car loan. Will aim for higher this year, as partner started working this week.
Waouh how do you guys manage to save that much ? Guessing some of you don’t have kids and a crazy mortgage payment
Coach
PM1 living the real life.
We probably save 10-20% only because we’re earning ~400K combined income.
But we have 2 little kids with daycare costs + high variable mortgage + not a luxurious lifestyle by any means but we live like fat cats…
I save atleast 20% and have a mortgage.
Saving about 30%. Really limit eating out (5-6 times a year) or other entertainment (1-2 times a year). Only spend money on vacations and kid's camps/sports, but really careful with anything else.
