36 and only donating $100 a month to my favorite charity. I wish I could convince my wife to donate more and think this is a pretty abysmal amount when comparing it to my income. Still working on building up our gifting muscle as that is equally as important as saving and spending.
Approximately $2k to the United Way via paycheck deduction and ~$1k to a non profit where I serve on the board. Other bits here and there. I think these organizations make my city better and I also get some tax benefits. I’m 43, and this is about 1% of my pretax income. You do you though.
Late 30s, 1-5% over my career. I used to do $100 to a number of large charities through my office program but I've shifted to donating more to one specific local charity (and then always buying if a kid is fundraising).
I donated starting at the age of 22, usually once a year and a few hundred because they were organizations that helped me get to where I’m at today so I don’t see that as a detriment. More so truly giving back to the next generation.
I never really have other than a random $100 here or there. AITA?
