My fiancé got approached for a Sales Executive Role at Instacart. Anyone have any insight into the company, job security, culture etc? They mentioned 100k base, 40-60% variable comp and an undisclosed equity grant. She’s already making 130k in a very secure job, so we are thinking no, but want to do our homework first.
Is it SAFE joining Wipro as technical lead (B3) with 37LPA? Knowing that package is pretty high as compared to collogues in same band. HR is not ready to give project manager(C1) position.
Appreciate your suggestions/input.

Make friends with them if they’re people you want to be friends with but as a fellow junior I don’t see any problem with being friends with managers, if you click better with them then that’s fine, at the end of the day it’s going to benefit your progression and development so I wouldn’t worry about what others think
I don't think it's that big of a deal but personally, I would at least try to expand your network a little bit so you get a mixture of opinions/experiences
I own a rental property (duplex) and started a cleaning biz on the side. Recently been wanting to start door dashing or think of something more scalable. I don’t think I like 9-5s.
I just realized I totally added this comment on the wrong thread 🙃
I'm the same. Not worried what others think at all. They can deal with that problem themselves, I'll get promoted.
I’d say this is pretty normal - in my op unit I was one of 3 to join, and then went onto a project on my own. I have a fair few friends out side of my op unit from AIP but within my op unit most of the people I speak to are all manager and above. This is probably down to a manager being our mentor so you meet their friends, especially with everyone working from home, so you don’t really have the opportunity to meet anyone else.
Who cares what other people think? As long as you're friendly with them because you genuinely like them, and not because you're trying to move up the ranks faster, it shouldn't matter.
Don't force it IMO. You are better off just building genuine relationships the way you have been with the managers. Opportunties will come and if they don't that's fine too! Don't worry about what you look like to others.
