I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance.
I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members.
Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?

I would suggest the Strategic Diversity & Inclusion certificate from ECornell. It is pricier but totally worth it.

like

The cert program is Instructor/ Professor lead, tackles multiple areas of DEIB and is a good overview, along with the name ECornell.

like

AIHR is cheaper and you get shrm/hrci recert credits.

Hello, question:
I’m I overthinking? I have been with my company as a RC for more than a year, no raise or position change, been doing the same thing since the first day. My one year anniversary came up, and I have literally been chasing my manager for a performance review, seems like he is stalling. Should I start applying to other roles? Is one year + experience enough to move to a higher role?

Hi: I’m a licensed producer and an account manager for the owner in a small firm with all men, and my boss keeps turning the tables on me; changing goal posts, dangling carrots in my face, all while the men in the office reap ALL the benefits of being in house brokers and making all kinds of business deals on the boss’s dime and barely work! I work more than the 5 of them combined & I get breadcrumbs!! Barely any career development support at all while the boys club goes to lunch daily together

Confused!
So I am working as a UI UX designer since Jan22. I started with a really good project (everything from the scratch) with research, knowing the user etc. The project went really well. It was my first project that I handled individually. I got another project it also went well. Then I was told to work directly with a client, it's been 2 months already we work late hours and also on weekend (asked by the client). It feels like my personal life is gone. Do you think I should change job?

My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Meanwhile I just received a Director offer for a company with a 29% pay bump July 1. If Amazon or any other FAANG/large co gets back to me, is there an acceptable way to not burn bridges with new job and accept or delay start date with FAANG? Or fuck it just hop?

Offer accepted! Before I start, I will virtually meet my direct reports I didn't meet during interviews. My new managers will also be there. I've managed people before, ~2 years ago, so I'll be rusty, but I love helping others achieve their goals. Previous roles were promotions & I hired my repots. What would be good topics/questions for this initial meeting with everyone? There's no agenda set, but I'd like to be intentional. I'm sure my mgrs will lead, but I want to be thoughtful. Thanks.

Regarding employers, do background checks verify only the employers you /list/on your resume? A few employers ago (but during pandemic) let me go for performance (before I was in HR, & dealing with depression from that job), and this employer is like a stain on my resume, resulting in me not being a strong candidate in interviews (verified this is a problem) since I have to explain why I moved to the next job.
