Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

Hi - I have donations given to Team Everest for Nov 2021 with receipt. But IBM AskHR says no support for donations tax exemption on Form 16. Thus, the donation isn't deducted on my Form 16. Can I now update the donation directly on E-filing.gov u/s 80G for exemption or will that cause an issue ? IBM

Why exactly do you think that? Do you think you are not knowledgeable enough to take up that job? If that's so then you can get suggestions from your colleagues at the same level and spend time in up skilling yourself.
If you think that new promotion is going to push you and put you in a discomfort or give more exposure than you would want, then I'd say it's a part of growth. May be you are just scared of unseen. But believe me every body at every position is as scared and clueless as you may think you are.
Take the promo and then learn what is expected out of that level ...
U can always buy some time like 3 months to amp up yourself
I second this, learn on the job
If you find your peers getting their due promotions and working well or the same, automatically you will feel capable enough for yourself 😂
I thought it's more to do with the chunk of responsibilities that tends to become a burden. As you move up the ladder, work life balance becomes worse.
Pass me on your promotion ... I know I am ready ... My manager ( and the world ) think otherwise 🤣
Change places with me🤣
Tell your coach you are not ready..
I had the same feeling too at SC and then again at M milestone. But I've heard folks who delayed it later regretted because they delayed for reasons that they felt were silly later on...if you are at peace with your decision and you don't have an up or out culture you can stay in your position for a while.
You might have impostor syndrome.
"What Is Imposter Syndrome? Impostor syndrome (IS) refers to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be. While this definition is usually narrowly applied to intelligence and achievement, it has links to perfectionism and the social context."
It's good that you're facing your feelings here. As someone who got promoted before I was ready, I can tell you what happens next. Ofcourse it depends on your approach. Mine was quite wrong - I thought that if they felt I was performing at the next level, I didn't need to change much about what I was doing. That landed me in a space with conversations around below expectations ratings started to happen. It was very stressful but I pivoted my approach and now am in a better place. My advice would be:
1) Take the promotion
2) Understand and set expectations very clearly with your manager (preferably in writing) - on what your new role would celebrate as success.
3) Make a game plan to upskill yourself on achieving that. Start small with a weekly goal
4) Enroll in trainings for things you are not comfortable with. They help more than you can imagine.
Bottom line - never say no to more money.
Congratulations and All the best!
