I can't stop reading BLM news and checking covid counts everyday. It's gotten to the point where I'm struggling to do my work because why does it even matter? The US is a dumpster fire and people are too busy blaming the other side to actually fix anything or listen and learn.

The world has survived world wars, mass genocide, slavery, concentration camps, and many other health pandemics. We will come out of it .... know it’s tough but keep living your life. Everyone else is.

The world was always a dumpster fire, the US included, the media just display it more nowadays. If you think about all the mess in this world (poverty, wars..) you’re just going to get depressed. Be happy you were born in the right environment and enjoy the beauty of life!

what makes you compelled to read it everyday?

I was born with every advantage. People who weren't are forced to deal with a shitty system every day. Literally the least I can do is keep watching and learning so that I can use my resources to make things better where possible.

The media has a motive in driving panic, it gets them clicks and ad revenue. Every media organization has an agenda, and if they aren’t honest about it, then they shouldn’t be trusted.

I'm not reading click sit/shock articles. I'm reading data-driven studies/articles/whatever. I'm sure there's still an agenda, but please don't think I'm just worn out from Fox or CNN

Hey everyone, so my sister and her boyfriend have both gained about 60-70 pounds since COVID started. I’m getting very concerned for them and I’ve seen firsthand how they’re developed awful eating and drinking habits and they hardly ever exercise. I’m very concerned for them, but I have no idea how to talk about it with them and not make them angry or hurt. Any advice on how to have this difficult conversation?

Just need to vent: my friend refuses to bring up the topic of covid and how it will likely effect her wedding. She’s just moving forward like we aren’t in a pandemic and it’s becoming exhausting trying to be supportive and excited for her when it feels like she’s living in a fantasy world. She just had us purchase bridesmaids dresses and I can’t help but feel like it was a complete waste of a few hundred dollars. I feel bad for having these thoughts but I’m over it.

Like most of the agencies, we were operating in a high touch environment with our clients to grow business. And in 2020 everyone understood the need to operate remotely and focused on getting the work done. However a lot of sales/opportunities for growth were discovered in informal coffee/lunch sessions with clients. I wonder how are all of you engaging with clients in a remote set up. Would love to hear everyone’s experiences..
