I get monthly body work style massages and have for years.

I've been going to the same place for about a year and see the same 2-3 therapists on rotation. The last few times they have commented on how tight my upper back is. My expectation is they work it out, but they don't use firm tough pressure. I've given feedback, but it's not getting better.

Any ideas?

As a former massage therapist, I would recommend that you say factually "I prefer more pressure is used in the upper back." Or when they work on that area, it is appropriate to ask for more pressure. Sometimes, the therapist is doing what is firm for them. In that case, I would recommend seeking a different therapist that specializes in deep tissue, myofascial release, and trigger point therapy.

Started my new job today! I’m joining a late stage startup coming from a more mature company, and am noticing a lotttt of documentation debt.
