I get really anxious when I don’t have much to do at work, I start worrying I’m going to get in trouble for being under utilized.. does anyone else ever experience this?

I definitely experience this. I usually calm my nerves by focusing on how I can improve my skills or my team. Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of training videos on SQL and Excel to keep on top of my game. Just know that you are valuable regardless of the work flow

So apparently accenture is making people who are on the bench enroll into a mandatory customer service role even if you’re 100% utilized. Friend took 3 weeks of PTO and has been on the bench for a few days and he is being forced. Worst part? It’s Tues-Saturday.

I recently accepted an offer to join a company (A) . They started my H1-B transfer and I received today the approval notice for the transfer.

However, I accepted last week a (better) offer at another company (B) and they will start soon my H1-B transfer.

There’s no reason you have to put up with a job you hate. I spent many years working in a toxic environment with a boss who gossiped and lead through fear. He wasn’t really much of a leader but basically a foreman. And he could make my existence miserable. I admit that it wasn’t easy to find another job but the bottom line is: trust your guts. If you feel something is wrong it’s because it probably is. Don’t second guess yourself. Look for options and and fight for your mental health.
