I have a coworker who refuses to shower regularly. Client meetings with him are brutal. How do you have that "hey, your hygiene is a problem" conversation without HR getting involved?

Why would HR need to be involved? You have a direct conversation saying I am concerned with your hygiene. Say that it is distracting and affecting the bottom line of generating revenue.

You're elected to tell Pepe LePew to take a shower every day." Actually, your team leader or unit manager should step up for this task.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right?
