I have a CPA and I am thinking of getting the CMA as well. Not ready to go into industry yet but I wanted to see if someone else has gotten the CMA, CPA designations and whether it was worth it.

What do you want to do? The certifications aren't exactly for the same kinds of jobs. I doubt you would be passed over a cma if you have a cpa.

like

I was part of the cma club in college. Honestly I think you'll be fine with just a cpa unless there is something specific you want to do with the cma.

like

It seems that some go the CMA route instead of CPA. I'm not sure there is much advantage.

Since I already have the CPA, it's just an extra tool to have in case I leave public. If I left, I would probably go into something involving financial analysis.

I'm a CMA. It's good if you want to get into corporate financial management. Doing my CPA rn tho bc I'm working in PA

Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

Hey guys,
I am planning to startup. Planning to go very big.
The fundamental reason for any business to start is to earn profits if it's not a non-profit org. But, what if the business is owned by the consumers itself. And consumers become shareholders of the business.
1) People fund the business
2) People buy products from it
3) People share profits if there are some.
Goal of such business:
1) Not for profits
2) Increase employment in country
3) Make in India boost
