I have had so much back and forth with a client that keeps trying to ask for things outside of the scope of redlining a contract. They are now willing to pay for the additional work but It has been so distracting and I don’t even want to work with them anymore. I work at a small, 3 lawyer firm. One of the lawyers is not barred in the state we practice. Because of this, the managing attorney has been having him draft motions and other legal documents and use my name and bar number and having me file them because I will have to appear in court for the matter. 3 attorney firm. I’ve been here for 6 years and have used Westlaw exclusively. Now we are switching to Lexis because apparently Westlaw is too expensive. I hate change.
