Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview
Hi,
What role I can expect for 6.8yoe developer??
PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

In the end I did not get a job offer and was told another candidate was selected. When asked if feedback could be shared, It was said the other candidate aligned more closely with Wfat they were looking for, however I saw they reposted the position a few days ago and this role has been open for 4 months now.
I was prompt, completed all tasks to the fullest and added much detail, I did excellent on the testing and the hiring manager who I would report to connected with me very well; however when invited for the in person interview, the sr leader who had no background in HR fired off question after question at me aggressively even focusing on questions that did not pertain to the duties of the role such as recruiting.
I now realize if a company has had a role open for months and keeps reposting, it may be a red flag.
Yeah this was a learning experience. Next time the process is drawn out like this, I will not be going through it. I’m curious to see how long before the role is filled. It’s a shame because I was really looking for a role I could stay at and really give it my all.
That sounds intense. I get wanting to assess properly, but long processes can lose good candidates. I think there is a balance between thorough and practical.
I just interviewed for the same role and went through the same hoops that you did. My last interview had to be after you were told that the role was filled. I did not get any feedback and was just sent the system generated rejection notice. If they are going to take so much of people's time on all of these assignments and assessments, the least they can do is call or at the very least, write an email. The recruiter called me to get in touch throughout the process, so clearly she knows how to use the phone. Seems they are expecting an awful lot from candidates for this level role and it seems that you and I have dodged a bullet. Good luck with your search! Something better will come along!
Sorry typed this out quickly - please disregard grammar and typos 🙊
Balance is the key in these kinda situations.
An assignment? Did they pay you for it?
A company should never be asking you do work without paying you for it. That is illegal and a massive red flag on how they view compliance there.
You should probably be glad you didn't end up there as there would likely be many more assignments taking up your nights and weekends. You should also consider reporting them to the DOL.
