I just saw someone ask in a different bowl if 2 years in public accounting is equivalent to 4 years in industry. The kool aid is strongggggg.

I'm currently working as an electrical designer in the MEP industry. I really don't like it and I'm working towards a career change which I'm actively applying for and getting certified etc. However, it's been a slow process and I'm currently underpaid where I am so would it be wise to make a lateral move to another MEP firm simply because they offer me more money while I still look for a different job separate from this field? Or just tough it out?

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

Is the SPHR or PHR license necessary to pivot into human capital? I have a MBA from a Top 15 school. Any thoughts?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. The stress of this job ruined my life.
The stress has lead to an eating disorder that I can’t get control of. I’ve lost 25 pounds since starting at the firm two and a half years ago. I am 20 pounds less than I was in high school... I don’t know how to get control again. Even when the stress lays off I can’t eat more due to being used to being busy for almost 9 months out of the year...
