I might end my first year with 45% utilization. Did a 3 week certification along with the initial orientation and training. Should I be worried?

No you should not. Please post your location and service line.

like

No don't be worried if you can explain and have a good reason for why it was low. Couldn't find a project? Be ready to show what you did to try and find one. Additionally, your counselor should already know this, so they can probably give you better insight into whether it looks bad or not

like

Depends on the avg utilization of your practice

like

If your utilization is low, all they'll do is see where you did charge your hours. Did you charge all of them to GAA? You're in trouble. Did you charge most of your hours to PRD specific charge codes? You're fine.

like

Yes. Godspeed

Godspeed indeed

@M1 New York- HC. @D2 yes almost all of the non-client hours are PRD specific. Had to take an approved 3-week PTO too.

You're fine then. Similar thing happened to my friend last year. Your rating should reflect only your quality of work then, not your hours.

Depends on your peer group util

It depends on firm health and how you did in the 45%. Don't get stuck on numbers. We kept low util people and let higher util people go at layoffs last year. If the firm is healthy (which I've heard it is), no one is going anywhere since we need bodies to bill!

Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I love my new team and people here! Super healthy working environment! But just curious about the title.

Hi all, has anyone in supply chain taken one of the certification exams? (CPSM, CPSD, CSCP)
Does it help in any way besides refreshing contents about supply chain? I was thinking might be a good way to strengthen my resume (most of my career in investment analysis) but not really sure if it really brings that much value. Any insights appreciated. #supplychain #cpsm #cpsd #cscp #education #certifications
