I moved from client facing/compliance to internal role (from one big 4 to another) and this is my second week. It is just so weird working 40 hours with no urgent emails/calls or fire drills and no utilization goals this time of year. I had 6 years of busy season so it’s just hard to get out of that mode I guess lolol

I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Question, if you pay off your house isn’t a 100k salary more than enough to sustain a good lifestyle? My goal has always been to payoff my mortgage then find a really easy analyst role to sustain my expenses.
