Hi all! I have a 45 minute screening interview at Facebook (Meta) next week for their Product Development Specialist position. Does anyone have any advice on what I can expect? Could have taken the offer you were getting and resigned, you will get way better opportunities when you are on notice period. If you were getting an offer where recruiter was ready to wait 90 days and you didn't accept it than that was a really foolish thing to do. If you feel the offer was very less then don't join and just keep it as a backup for worst case scenario and get a higher paying job in notice

@Bosch: what is your tech stack and yoe. Lets not discuss more with them about np. I had np of 90days and I got call from tcs and globant and kpmg in the first month. I am .net and angular with 6 yoe. I am in my last month and holding 6 offers and few i declined even before they were released. Later on i was very choosy about interviewing. Only interviewed at important ones with good tech stack and salary.Now, the point here is how we grab the first offer. This is what helped me.
1. One page resume, alongwith naukri applied on indeed and company's websites. Set job alerts on linkedin and galssdoor with location and skills matching my profile. Then applied through it.
2. Received all the calls from consultancies because HRs are very busy so consultancies sre their hiring partners. You can always trust them.
3. If you don't want your teammates or manager to l know that you are searching for a job. You can wait till you put your papers. Or else you can right away change status to opentowork on linkedin. Believe me you will get a lot of messages.
4. MOST IMP. PREPARE, PREPARE AND PREPARE . Look buddy i will speak for myself, I am an average guy and I know how much competition will be there outside. So only thing i can do right is prepare amd perform. Show the panelist that i am keen to join his company. Thats all. I think it is not only intelligence that matters but preparation. And why i am telling you to prepare is because after your first offer you will get calls like crazy and then you just have to give interviews. Also, interviews are bit easier these days due to great resignation.
So don't be afraid about notice period and all. I think the IT will soon see transformation and this 90 days will be reduced.

You can show the offer and say that you just put papers few days back. Usually onboarding happens on Mondays or Thursdays so can adjust the days accordingly. For example say your LWD is Monday then they will put joining date as next Monday so you bought 1 week time.
