It’s easier to stay sober than it is to get sober!
Pitch it down the sink.
If you are referring to sharing at a meeting, just stick your truth. What it was like, what happened, and what it's like now. If you are emotiona or frightened when thinking about it,, perhaps there's a bit more ego than truth in what you are thinking about.
I think they mean a business pitch like a sales pitch
Two weeks into sobriety. Not for the first time. Sibriety fatigue is exhausting. Any suggestions?
“Sobriety fatigue” is an interesting phrase. As it were, I’m reading “A new pair of glasses” by Chuck “C”, and it talks about how the AA philosophy changes our fundamental outlook on life to combat exactly this. Based on my experience, it helps to both, immerse more in AA / fellowship / activities, and also to find more diverse interests outside, simultaneously.
(1) Now you have all that time (and money saved), why not look at Meetups or other forums to see what piques your curiosity and go from there? Don’t have to pursue anything in earnest if it doesn’t keep you excited. I took a couple online classes in photography for instance.
(2) Work out: Exercise has the effect of directly transforming your brain and outlook. I took up boxing on the Meta Quest as an easy way to start. But that, group classes at a gym, yoga, running / walking / biking, anything that can get you off your feet may be helpful.
(3) Reading / Podcasts: I did a fair amount to grow my understanding of the spiritual world. I was always interested in this but not particularly knowledgeable. There’s podcasts like “Joe and Charlie” in the “AA circle” but I also explored religion and spiritual teachers like Eckhart Tolle, Alan Watts, Ram Dass etc.
(4) Human connection: From AA fellowship to whatever time you can get with friends and family, to just going to the coffee shop and speaking to whoever. It helps.
Hopefully one of these above spark your interest!
What is an alcohol pitch?

Op, what’s an “alcohol pitch”?

Think of it as if you were working on a pitch for Jiffy 🥜 and you had a peanut allergy. We want folks who CAN enjoy their peanut butter to enjoy it as much as they can. We, however, have an allergy, therefore the product is not for us. Anything beyond that logical approach is just the ol’ ego getting in the way.
