How long have you been applying? It’s a tight market at the moment! Even people who have been in law their entire post grad lives are posting that they can’t find a job. That’s not a you thing. I’m about your age, am a fourth year associate, and I’ve applied for well over 800 jobs and gotten hundreds of rejections with the rest being silent. I’ve also gotten job offers I absolutely refuse to take because they’re laughably bad. Finding a job in law is hard even during normal markets. The markets are brutal right now. Have you seen all the layoffs in the news? This isn’t a “you failing” thing. This is a market thing.
You’re not a failure! The market will eventually pick back up. Until then, what’s stopping you from keeping your full time law adjacent job but hanging your own shingle accepting as many clients as you feel comfortable handling during your free time? You can get some experience and see if the practice as well as managing and marketing a business is for you. You’re absolutely not a failure, and you’re also young to boot! You have the next 30 years to make a law career

I just got an offer for practicing job
Law is a really rough field if you have health issues (I mean, it’s rough anyway, but the comparison game is even harsher). You’re definitely not a failure for taking a job that allowed you to care for your health! The market is tough right now, but keep trying. Fellow medically interesting person here :)
What type of work are you interested in? Litigation? Transactional? If you’re interested in litigation, IRS Chief Counsel is doing a lot of hiring. Check USAjobs to see if they have openings near you. You can apply as a lateral and start in the 80k. Feds have great benefits (4 hours of sick leave each pay period and you can take FMLA if you don’t have sick leave, basically unpaid sick leave). Plus you’ll get cases of your own right out the gate. You’ll get exposure to litigation and can leave after your 1 year probationary period if it’s not a good fit for you. If you leave before your probationary period, you’re basically “blacklisted” from the organization.
Congratulations!!!
When did you graduate? I took a law adjacent job right out of law school and then in house and then went to a v50 a couple year later.
