Im a 20+ yr teacher too also facing younger, inexperienced admin. Im considering a Sabbatical in fall 2025 to do a Spanish Immersion program to become fluent , gain a bilingual Ed certificate to become a more viable admin. So many positions are 8n my state prefer bilingual educators to meet the needs of the student body . Thoughts?

Looking for some advice on how to branch off into a job in tech. I’m a Mechanical engineer interested in working in a big tech company. I have some programming experience but excel mostly in mechanical and product design as well as 3D CAD. Would love some insight on how you went from an HR assistant/coordinator to an HR Generalist. I’ve been in the HR world for 8 years, and only in the last 2-3 have I really done real HR work. The first company I was at didn’t have a solid HR team so I don’t really count that. I feel like I’m ready to take on more responsibility and learn more. And of course make more money.
