How many years it would take for you to get to $110K at Deloitte? I am ex Deloitte. They do a great job of brainwashing their resources but their brand value in the market is not as much they want you to believe it is.
Take it and never look back
ZS brand > Deloitte brand
Hahahahaah
You should pay them 20% for “losing” the Deloitte brand.
If you leave, you already have Deloitte brand on your resume. If you leave on a good terms, you can always boomerang back. I won’t recommend trying to negotiate with D, it shows you have a foot out door. If anything, let them counteroffer you after putting in your notice.
What are good terms mean? I am about to leave and need an advice for a smooth exit.
FWIW, my thoughts are that the Deloitte logo on your LinkedIn does not pay your bills, the salary helps pay your bills. Your skills wherever you are will shine through regardless of Big4 or not in case you want to transfer to industry later. Other factors play in like company culture, benefits, etc when closing to leave. On the point of being ready to leave, if you bring this up and Deloitte doesn't match, and you stay, basically you're saying I am willing to get paid less even though I have proven I am of higher value on the market... Kinda like Tom Brady and the Patriots. 🤣
Move to ZS. It will take you 2 years to get to 110k assuming you don't get promoted. And ZS is the same level of brand that B4 would be.
Rising Star
If you want to focus in biopharma and healthcare we're a great place for that. Your salary will also grow faster at ZS (8-15% annual raises YoY at the AC level, which your salary puts you at if I'm correct).
I really like ZS! But in WLB it honestly hasn’t been great recently. In the 60-80 range consistently.
I’ve worked for both ZS and Deloitte. I also left both companies on good terms and am in industry.
I agree with what D1 & ZS2 (1st comment) said above, and pockets of other statements. IMO, to determine what you do, you need to think about what your end game is - Do you want to focus on pharma? Do you only care about the $$$? Do you care about cross industry name brand recognition? Are you happy at Deloitte? etc.
Feel free to DM me : )
^^What D1 said. And D probably won’t voluntarily pay you 110k for a few more years, even if you do end up getting promoted to the next level.
Go with ZS.. you’ll learn and grow much faster and make much more money there . Besides you are too early in your career to get typecasted into healthcare if you did a few years at ZS. Besides ZS are thinking of expanding into adjacent industries as well as doing a ton of cloud, martech work which are highly portable , industry agnostic skills that you can use as exit credentials .
Im an AC at ZS making $120k with 3 YOE. negotiate for 10k more then accept your offer
Yes and no
leave
I went from Deloitte to ZS and have found it to be great, better raises year over year, but caveat that its Pharma focused. Negotiations on salary with Deloitte rendered useless even though I always had the highest ratings, but never hurts to try!
Id say 110k is fair. Depends on your location too. (You’ll likely make more moving than staying here)
Depending how much leadership wants to keep you here, Deloitte would likely be willing to raise your salary 15-20%
Are you thinking of getting an MBA. Make the switch after mba
All the more reason to make the leap, OP
@OP. Just curious. Is this offer for an AC position? Also what location?
Also, is your total yoe = 3 years?
Which location? I’d love to connect with you and learn from your interview experience!
