What is the big 10? Last I heard it was 4.

likefunny

^ lol he didn’t even say ‘big 10’ - you’re projecting AS1

like

Audit Senior 1, The collegiate athletic conference.

like

@AS1 - I believe OP meant top 10 accounting firm. Give him or her a break!

like

Yeah underpaid, Big 4 doesn’t actually pay more (and often pays less) at the lower levels EY2

like

EY 2, my post is about the pay rather than the cost of rent. I can’t afford to pay for a 1 bedroom apartment. 4-5 years of college, 1 year of hard work, bunch of student loan and can’t afford an apartment without sharing with 2-3 roommates. Hence my post

like

Agree with people here, too low. And PwC2 is also correct, often the non-B4, "top 10" firms pay as much or more than B4 because they have to entice people to join their firms somehow.

like

Yes

like

You also probably paying way too much on rent. Live in your means

like

@OP - for a first year, $52-$56k would be reasonable.

like

Yes. Audit first years in Milwaukee are making around $55k. I’d think Minneapolis is slightly higher COL

like

Low. My first year in Atlanta was 56k. The ones who went to the Big 4 started below but caught up within two years. Regional firms offered the same or higher. One who went to a smaller firm started lower but exceeded my salary within a year.

smart

Yes way too low. B4 and RSM start at 53 in Ohio. I’ve heard 55 in Portland. 46 is definitely marketing or HR salary lol

like

I would say low. My friend goes big 4 there out of college. Around 54k?

like

Same.

Yes

Yes!

Yes.

Yes

If I am getting paid too low, how much do you guys think should be my pay?

My current package 18 laks at 8 year experience how much i can expect with TCS now

Hi All,
I'm around 8 yr experienced in RPA(Technical). What designation they will give me and what salary should I expect? Is there fixed + variable pay system too? If yes, what's the split?
Total exp - 7.9 yrs
CCTC - 18 LPA

I received an offer for 80k to work as a desktop engineer for TCS at one of their client’s locations. However, I have seen poor reviews for working at TCS and I’d like to get some feedback from anyone currently or had previously worked for that company. What is the environment like and has anyone been in a situation where the contract with TCS and the client ended and had trouble with TCS finding them a new role at the same pay?

Is your compensation and performance reviewed automatically on a regular/annual basis? I don’t get either of these unless I ask for it! Found out others in our company experienced the same as me. Lowball Salaries trending as a common pain point

I like my team and work life balance, during the pandemic was very beneficial to my wellbeing. However feel I owe it to myself now, to be earning what I’m worth in the market (I’m underpaid by a fair bit) especially with inflation costs

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.
