No. I was transactional before this and I could just search the database for agreements and/or ask my general counsel for examples and they were happy to send. I don’t understand why that would make anyone angry? Seems like it would improve efficiency and also make it more likely that you will produce exactly what they want.
Honestly what would annoy me (and annoys me at my current job) is the office not having a good document archive system. I have no problem with new hires asking me for things, but any modern office should have a system to make searching for and downloading documents easy.
I think the annoying part is when folks ask for a precedent when clearly not putting any effort to think through it themselves. I know what I'm going to get back is a redline with just the key terms changed but no thought into whether each provision should actually be in there for the particular matter or whether it's drafted more favorable one way or the other.

I see what you're saying. I try to learn about why agreements are set up the way they are. Generally my supervisors have pretty great ideas since they are proficient so I don't change them, also some supervisors get angry if you try to change their ideas.
