Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. No. No one will ever ask for it or know what it means. If you want to learn it, go ahead but the benefit will be in being able to speak about pitching and doing the work, not a resume trinket.

No. The value would be in the learning not in the certificate. So if the learning would be valuable to you then go for it but I probably wouldn’t even tell people about it because this is a certificate from a random woman who wrote a book and fought for legal rights that she coined the term PESO model when there is evidence to the contrary online. 🥴 This is also a pretty dated term even if it’s still useful.
Thank you for sharing, especially as a senior pro. I took a media relations class off of Coursera and found that to be super helpful...it was also a fraction of the price. :) I think I'll stick to affordable continuing ed.
