Moving to offer stage with Slalom for Senior leadership role. I know the offer will be coming from hiring manager but a few qs:
1. Does negotiation happen with hiring manager or HR for salary / sign on / benefits?
2. In general have people seem flex in the offers through a negotiation process?
3. Can any one comment on sign on ranges to compensate for loss of shares in current role etc?
Heard that PE firms are hiring data scientists.
What does the industry look like? Are they desperate for data scientists or do they have trouble attracting talent? How's the pay?
What are they looking for? Dashboarding / analytics work or ai/ml? Are their data streams and infrastructure even mature enough for ai /ml work?
Are data scientists seen as back-office tech bros or are they valued highly as partners?

Interested in fully remote workers compensation roles, claims consulting roles, risk management, or management. 8YOE. bachelors in RMI. Minimum salary starting at $95K. NC/SC. Currently 14 weeks pregnant and just received a job offer at a large company I’ve always wanted to work for. Should I tell them I’m pregnant before accepting or after accepting the offer? Can they hold it against me if I only tell them after? I didn’t want them to base their hiring decision on me being pregnant.
Hey everyone. Hope you are having a good day. I have a little question. I am the type of auditor that love fieldwork. I heard from someone that big 4 now tend to switch to work from home mote. Is that true? Do you think it's better to try to get into mid size CPA firms or big 4 small and medium client segment/ industry in order to have the greatest chance to be on audits that require fieldwork?
Hope to hear your opinion and advices.
How fair it is to send offer letter of other company to current HR/Manager if they ask you in order to proceed with retention process. Yet, no commitment from current employer.
Do I need to get a client letter for H1B stamping given I am in consulting? Also, if the officer asks who is your client, do I need to mention all the clients I work with?
Do you think the market is weakening? Trying to make some decisions but I'm seeing different opinions on Twitter about the market

Question: can an employer legally withhold your personal possessions after you leave the firm? I left my old firm recently and they were not happy about me joining another consultancy. They are withholding any belongings that I left in the office and have ignored my emails asking to arrange a pick up or delivery of my personal items. I understand the covid19 environment impacts the situation, but anything I can do to get my stuff back? Any help would be appreciated. I’m based in NYC!

Has anyone been in the TBWA Youngbloods program? I applied, but the application is to submit nothing but your resume and portfolio unlike other internship and fellowship programs like MAIP. I’m worried that my chances of getting my application even getting seen will be lower because of that.
Are there any other single women who feel like their WLB needs aren’t valued on your team in comparison to your peers who have families/pets/significant others? I explained to my boss that during busy season I’d like the option get my work done/busy season hours in Monday-Friday and have Saturday away from my computer because working 12-14 hours during the week is very doable for someone like me who has zero obligations. Was told (continued in comments..)

SPHR exam- has anyone ever been “randomly selected” for an application audit? This just happened to me and the sheer amount of effort that is going to go into collecting all the documents almost makes me not want to follow through. Since I didn’t finish undergrad, they’re asking for a copy of my high school diploma or transcript and that itself is going to be an absolute nightmare to get hold of. Guess I’m not really looking for a solution here, just venting.

Hello! I’m new to Human Resources (7 months). I definitely want a career and to be quite honest, make a lot of money. I wanted to know if anyone got their masters degree in Human Resources and recommends it or if studying and acquiring certifications should also suffice. I’m currently trying to decide between aPHR and SHRM. Thanks!
I have two employees (they are in a relationship) that are both being terminated for various performance reasons. On the day of their scheduled (termination) meetings they both called out of work due to illness. Is it unprofessional to terminate via email at that point? Or should I wait until the next scheduled work day?
Happy Halloween 🎃 I hope everyone is having a fun and lighthearted Monday. I am developing an awards and recognition program for the company I work at and would love to hear your thoughts on what recognition programs you like as an employee as well as ones to manage? I work at a Manufacturing company. We currently have our hourly team members clock in and out at a physical clocking machine. We would like to change this since one of our values is trust and it makes our team members feel like we don't trust them. What other ways are companies having hourly team members clock in/out?
The owners of our company like to do a holiday handout at Thanksgiving each year. They used to do a whole Thanksgiving meal (turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pie). Last year there was a lack of available turkeys in the quantity we needed, so we switched it up and did a bottle of sparkling cider with a $25 gift card. This year the owners want to do something different but they are not sure what. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have about 300 employees in one location. Thanks!!
Hi we are looking to implement a new Gamification program for referrals. I was curious on who else may have this type of rewards program in place and who do you use and how well has it help increase referrals for your organization.
Hi, new hr manager here. I have a bit of a situation at work lol an attorney has been making insensitive comments to our support staff, is generally distracting and over sociable and I’ve gotten some neg feedback about him. I spoke with him this morning and this afternoon, he went up to his legal assistant with the Amber Heard filter on Snap, started asking her what was wrong, she didn’t like being filmed, was upsetand ended up working from home the rest of the day. I’m not sure how to move fwd…
Looking to revamp a new manager program that is focused on project management and business development. Can anyone recommend a coach that has experience working with management consultants?
Hi All - I received a verbal offer from a big 4 organization about 11 days ago. I keep being told that they are waiting on final approval before they can give me the written offer. I am stating to get anxious, as I want to give my notice to my current employer and have another offer that expires at the end of this week, which I did share with the recruiter. Is this a normal timeline for these firms? Starting to get nervous that we may not get final approval. Thank you!
