I'm working as a Staff Pharmacist at CVS and am interviewing for a WFH Specialty Pharmacist role. Anyone have experience in this role? Would it be less stressful than working in retail, and would their metrics be more attainable?

I did that specific role. There are no patients to deal with and you are rarely on the phone in the beginning. The really hard part of the job is the high production rate that is expected from you. You have about 4.5 months to get there after training. In my group only 20% made it, the rest were let go. So it is a production heavy environment. sometimes you can be let go if they lose contracts and thus work is low (there is nothing you can do about that). What sinks you at the job is that sometimes you have long chart notes to read. If it is 4 pages of chart notes before you make a PA decision, that will go somewhat speedily. But if you have 36 pages, 79 pages to go through, you are going to be behind. Imagine getting 4 cases in a row to handle and each have more than 25 pages to go through. It is hard to recover from that and meet your quota. Also be aware, they are implementing AI to help make decisions (not sure how many specialty people they will need down the line)

I am interested in learning more about your position. Is the hour flexible or is it 9-5? Where do I look for this kind of position?

I think the flexibility and personal space alone would make it a much better role. I am so jealous of WFH pharmacists, might have to apply soon for my own remote role. But yeah I can only imagine that it would be less stressful than being on the floor. Hope it works out for you!!

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. Is there anything I can do? FWIW: I have a PhD from top 5 program and am working in that field. Thanks!

Anyone recently join BCG Platinion coming from a cyber background? What was your YOE? What level did you come in at? What are you doing now?

Hi all,
I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that. I’ve only been at my current company for about 8 months, but I don’t ever see myself loving this job. How do I know when it’s time to make a change?
