I'm working as a Staff Pharmacist at CVS and am interviewing for a WFH Specialty Pharmacist role. Anyone have experience in this role? Would it be less stressful than working in retail, and would their metrics be more attainable?

I'm a computer science engineer, working in the Pharmaceutical RWE domain for 2 years.
Even though I like the impact that my job creates, I often find myself wondering if I can actually get to a high position (e.g. CEO, Director of DS dept.) for a pharmaceutical company being from a technical background.

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. What's the biggest health myth you've heard that you'd like to bust? Mine is that supplements are always a healthier option than prescription or OTC meds. A lot of the supplements on the shelf contain all types of unnatural ingredients and can still be harmful depending on the dosage.

Do you need a doctoral degree to get ahead in pharmacy? Or do folks land higher salaries even without one?

I have worked in four different types of pharmacy and I don’t really like anything so far. I don’t know what to do anymore. Right now I don’t feel like I can do any of these jobs forever. The types I have worked in are:hospital (pediatrics ), retail, specialty and a call center.
