One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

Consulting firms use PPT instead of word. It’s not intended to be projected, but intended to be read and left behind
Stand your ground OP. Consulting slides that are so dense as to be illegible are a pox on this industry. If you're really giving it as a presentation where you're trying to communicate a message (vs sharing a deliverable in PPT form), what you learned in school is still correct.
Talking headers are your friend my dear...rest all is to save your ass..,
OP, sometimes what you learn in class and what are the best practices is not always what the clients want. Sometimes this is for a good reason - once consultants finish their engagements, often the only document left behind is a PPT. In that case, greater specificity and detail is invaluable since the consultant is no longer there to answer questions
It all comes down to purpose. Is it for documentation or a presentation. Presentation should be clean and require a speaker to talk through the slides

It should be a mix and there's a fine balance. Slides should convey the message in a concise manner and have good readability. However, the slides should also contain enough material that people can pick up the document and understand what's going on at a high level without having someone to present it to them.
