Seeking advice on career paths within tech after bizops. Got offer from Salesforce for the role: Sr Platform Solution Engineer with salary 160k(70/30). Is it a fair salary with 6yrs of consulting exp and SE as the first time(total 6yrs of exp)? Location FL.

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. Anyone make the transition to an SE role that have some advice?

What are some good ways to get into management?
I am an individual contributor with ~8 years of experience and a strong track record. I enjoy my work, but am getting a little burnt out being directly customer facing. I also want a bigger seat at the table. I am not the most natural people manager, but want to push myself and take on a new challenge.

So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). He has mentioned a few times that he’s worried I’ll get bored of him when I know he can’t afford the same things I can. What can a junior associate do about a mid-level that constantly asks questions about things they were cc’d on, sends dozens of piecemeal emails and is generally just super high strung and needs everything right away?? I cleared all my rounds of interview in JPMC, had salary discussion with HR 2 weeks back. After which i was asked to apply the job on candidate portal and submit additional information.

Its almost 2 weeks and i haven't heard back anything from them. My status in portal shows "You are moving to the final steps in the process". This status has not changed since last 2 weeks.
