Recently I had given couple of interviews for a company and after 10 days, HR had called me and told that my feedbck is positive. They just wanted me to join early but my notice period is 2 months and they were ready to buy me out,. I told them that there is possibility but it depends on my company’s current resources. Doing a remote interview tomorrow for an in-house position that I really want. Invite says "[company] is a startup, so a full suit is not necessary! Business casual attire is recommended." Like I said, I really want this job, and the idea of not wearing a suit is just weird to me
Should I still wear the suit or would it be counter productive?

Ugh, I am four business days past my loop interview and tomorrow is five, which is their maximum number of days they said they would take to make a decision. I’m trying to be optimistic, like, if they unanimously didn’t want me they probably would have told me sooner. But who knows?! The waiting is the worst part, knowing if the time investment into interview prep was actually worth it.

I was promoted to manager in Jan but received an offer with a 35% salary increase and much cheaper health insurance outside the firm. I am 85% sure I’ll take the offer, but wanted to see if anyone could think of acting I may be missing out on by leaving? FYI my inflation increase was larger than my promotion increase and my student loan payments also were stopped since I’m no longer an SA. I think what is holding me back is my guilt for my immediate team but just want to check.

My company has ERGs and one of them is pretty large and includes a lot of demographics. Within it, people are starting to kind of form their own subgroups (like based on office location or country-specific ethnicity). My boss makes jokes about me being from a different country whenever there is a work meeting or a gathering with coworkers, even though he knows where I am from. This usually occurs when I meet new work-related people or for example if I am in a situation that involves ethnic related subjects.

Definitely took the wrong job. I was offered a seriously competitive salary and great benefits to work at a well funded startup, which is great!
