Is a neuropsychologist or a neuropsychiatrist better to go to for a diagnosis, or to see whether you have anxiety or adhd?

I think it depends on the treatment you are seeking. Psychiatrists can write prescriptions, psychologists cannot.

I'm not sure it makes a difference if all you are looking for is a comprehensive work-up and diagnosis. I finally got insurance to pay for all-day testing with a neuropsychologist, and it was incredibly useful in putting me on a path to an overall better treatment plan with new providers. Her detailed report was life-changing.

Author: I paid a copay of $25, but insurance covered the rest. The practice did require that I get a few recommendations for the testing to be covered, including therapist and primary care physician, as well as have me complete a bunch of preliminary forms about my state of mind. It's been almost a year, and I have not been sent any other bill. Good luck!

How do you all deal with time management - and specifically time estimate - problems?

I always underestimate how long things will take, both because we ADHD’ers view time differently and because I don’t build in time for getting distracted.

I work with a partner who asks me by when I can get something done rather than giving a deadline. I appreciate the flexibility but I always short sell myself and end up pulling all-nighters to meet my self-imposed unrealistic deadlines.

My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.
