Is switching domain possible in my current situation?

I’m currently working as a Salesforce DevOps engineer with 3 yoe in the same domain and looking to switch my domain to Java/Python domain for the SDE roles. Reason being I don’t find the current domain interesting also the growth/job opportunity is way too less.
Is it too late to make a switch of domains now? And will it ruin my career? Provided I have to start preparing for DSA and coding language from almost beginner level.

Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side. Colleague has put in his resignation. They are offering him whatever he wants to stay including 4days a week work from home. He’s not bluffing and plans to leave. However, at this same time I was asked to begin working as a supervisor for the engineering team and I would get a promotion at the beginning of the year. What are your strategies for completing work efficiently? How do you figure out how long projects should take? A consistent piece of feedback on my yearly reviews has been that I over-bill & spend too much time on assignments. It’s something I actively work on, but I still have no concrete sense of how long I should spend on basic tasks (e.g., drafting a motion to dismiss). My firm is right to expect that I manage my time better as a mid-level associate. WFH has made my time management worse.
