If you work at GT it should be free. Pretty much all PA firms give you access for free
No, mine only covers half
Pro
It’s way harder. It’s worth the cost so that is one less thing you have to worry about, am I studying the right thing. ROI on getting through the exam as soon as possible is great. Invest the time and invest the money.
Yes, by getting a score of 75 or more on the exams
Anything over 75 points you were inefficient and could have spent your time doing something else 🤣
You can look around to see if people sell their courses after the exam. Also, check out other options. Becker is way too expensive
Be careful with this. With the way the exam is being overhauled I'd be extremely careful doing this and might only do this for certain sections
What do you consider expensive? There’s some courses like Ninja or I-75 that are 70-130 monthly fee that are quite good. If you wanna do it all yourself, it’s going to be pretty difficult. If you crank out the studying and focus 100% of your free time, you can knock out an exam (or even 2 if you’re a savant) in a month. FAR may take 2 months. If you can spend the extra money for those couple months, it’s worth it.
Yes - just take the test
Use books. Schedule your time. Do the work.
I passed using UniversalCPA review, I think the most expensive package is $1,000 and that's 24 months of access.
Thank you. This is what I would consider reasonable, Becker is $2500+
I personally supplemented Becker with I-75. I-75 was far superior (and cheaper!).
I used CPAExcel, which I think was bought by Wiley. I finished like 8 years ago though. Back then it was like 1/3 or 1/2 the cost of Becker
Ninja is a good supplementary resource. A friend shared the practice questions with me when I was about halfway through the exams.
Becker is overpriced, look outside the Becker bubble. Ultimately what made me successful was review questions. I'd do them and any one I got wrong I wrote down (actually wrote them on a legal pad to commit to memory) why my answer was incorrect. YMMV
I used the Wiley books, Wiley mcq bank and Ninja CPA. I did not purchase the full Wiley package. It was under $1,000.
I’d recommend ninja and then another cheap review
There are much less expensive review books. The exam was structured differently when I took it, but the books I used were similar to these. For $75, I’d check them out.

If you pay, you’ll have the motivation to actually pass
I used surgent which was pretty cheap but it wasn’t enough for me personally to get past FAR so I had to supplement with Ninja
I used Surgent when my Becker expired. It was less than $1000 and they have to take a long pretest on each section then tailors the lectures you should watch.
Thank you all. Going to be taking one of you up on your advice once summer ends
