So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

Get used to it, you only have about 35 more years of stress!
This is the “comfort with ambiguity” everyone talks about. It’s OK to not know what’s going on OP, don’t be afraid to ask for help/clarifications, and don’t be afraid to raise your hand about it - burnout is good for no one.
Secondly, it’s a framing thing. The works going to be tough, and there will be moments on both sides of the spectrum - just remember it’s just work, lives aren’t at stake, and *everyone* is faking it til they make it. Try meditation or some stress management technique, it helped me a lot - I was in your shoes when I first started

Seems like you have some anxiety issues that likely stem from imposture syndrome. Might want to do some work on this before it gets out of hand.
This is the early stages of burnout and depression so don’t ignore it.
I think you can get lucky and get on a project that checks all the boxes occasionally, but i don’t think it’s super common. It’s important to periodically take a step back, take some PTO and figure out how to manage your stress and shift your perspective. I can relate to a lot of what you listed and I feel like I’m usually too negative and a lot of the things that stress me out aren’t actually big deals
This gets better with experience. I’ve definitely been on both sides of the fence, but if I’m “less busy” on any given day now, I embrace it. Sign offline, run errands, walk the dog, enjoy an after drink/snack with SO. I know the value I’ve brought to the firm and my clients, so I silence that voice making me feel guilty. If I was crazy busy, I’d also sign offline so I could focus and crank out 14 hours of work. When I’m actually that busy, I work hard to remind myself that we aren’t saving lives (typically) and I can ask others for help. Everyone else might appear busy but they also might be running afternoon errands, taking care of themselves, and happy to help out a coworker who is overloaded.
