Why don’t you use this time to learn how to cook? There are very simple recipes that you can start with.
“Use the time”?? What time would that be? Between work, home school and no housekeeper I have less time than I did before 😡. I’m so tired of hearing about all the great activities you can do from home because I have no time for any of it.
Instant ramen noodles cooked:
1) then drained and sautéed with frozen veggies and egg(s), soy sauce, peanut butter, ginger, and garlic
2) Cooked in chicken broth with defrosted veggies and eggs (crack in raw, let boil with noodles)
2a) Western European style: season with salt, pepper and any combo of the following: thyme, basil, sage, rosemary, garlic, onion
2b) Asian (ish) style: pepper, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, onion
2c) Tex-Mex (ish) style: salt, pepper, garlic, onion, lemon or lime juice, Chile or chipotle powder. Add in a few spoons of salsa or pico de Gallo if you feel like it
2d) Cuban style (kinda...don’t tell my Tía): garlic, onion, olive oil, lime juice, salt, pepper, and bay leaves
Thanks! I’ve loved cooking since I was really little. Dad and I used to watch Alton Brown Good Eats together. Now we watch Good Eats Reloaded when I’m visiting 😄
What the hell do you do that has you traveling so often? #Goals
Listen I used to eat out 90% of the time; since the pandemic hit, I have become an amazing cook if I don't say so myself. Just follow recipes and watch video if you need guidance. Anyone can do it!

It’s 2020 a simple search on YouTube or google will help you learn to cook. You have to put in some effort don’t just say oh no I can’t cook. Come on grow up.
Try YouTube great simple recipes
Make a salad, eat some fruit, no cooking necessary and you will do much better!
AIR FRYER!
Basics with Babish is an awesome YouTube/Facebook video series. Gordon Ramsey also has great videos for beginners on YouTube (or is it FB?). Alton Brown is great because he teaches cooking with a practical, scientific approach rather than a “learn the feel, smell, instinct, etc” approach. Alton describes himself and a cook/scientist, not a chef :)
The app Mealime is a wonderful thing
Grubhub, Doordash, UberEats. Plenty of options unless you live in the middle of the desert.
A number of cocktails can be used as marinades/pan sauces/simmer sauces if you are good or better at mixing drinks
Hi there - wasn’t much of a cook myself until I lived on my own. I recommend an instant pot (mini, if you live alone). There are zillions of recipes out there that are very simple to make, and they cook in the one pot in a short amount of time. Delicious too and lots of different things you can do with them - meals, snacks, desserts. Makes anyone feel like a chef. Healthy or at least hearty meals will make the quarantine experience much more bearable. Good luck!

1) If it's a time commitment thing, it's ok - you can start with simple, quick, go to recipes.
2) to start off, buy bags of frozen veggies and make sure you get your greens based on whatever you enjoy the most. Broccoli is one of the healthiest you can go to and if can compliment your other meals.
3) if you're going to eat bread, make sure it's whole grain
4) consider smoothie recipes
5) buying an instantpot and following easy recipes is a great way to be able to cook multiple types of good meals that taste great and are coat effective
YouTube..
YouTube videos about cooking. You’re only going to keep on suffering from instant food, if you don’t even bother trying.... Buy an instantpot! Very simple meals and majority of the work is just sautéing in the beginning. Look at “Pressure Luck Cooking” on youtube.
Get an instant pot. 100% worth it. Similar to crock pot but requires less advanced planning. Also very hard to overcook or burn food. Half the recipes I use are just meat + some kind of sauce then use a variety of ways throughout the week.
Chicken or ground beef + salsa + taco seasoning for taco meat for tacos, burritos, salads
Chicken + teriyaki sauce and then put over rice, salad, or noodles
Chicken + marinara + cheese - chicken parm (ish) to eat with pasta
Try something kinda new and edgy - take a risk - called a ‘recipe’ and I hear the ‘internet’ (?) has them for free. Also, YouTube demonstrates. Try cooking thinly sliced meat (buy it that way) in a pan, add cheese and salsa into a tortilla and call it a burrito.
Pinterest has a lot of good easy recipes. I try to make enough to get at least two dinners out of it, so that it cuts cooking in half for the week
Now is the best time to cook very simple meals. Make sure you buy the basic ingredients - salt, pepper, sugar, hot sauce, oil - vegetable, extra virgin olivr oil. If not vegan, get eggs, milk, butter, pancake mix, hot dogs?, bacon?, chicken breast?. Maybe garlic, onions, rice?, pasta?, parsley or parsley flakes, lemons, triple washed salad - mixed greens/ spinach. With these, you cud do a bunch of things.
