Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

I personally wouldn't find it weird. I dont but I often wish I did. More power to you if you do!
I personally have no issue with it.
I will say that when I had Invisalign I had to brush after every meal. I brushed in office bathrooms and airports all over the country and always got weird looks. That being said, who cares? My teeth were cleaner than ever and lookie-loos can just avert their sensitive eyes.
Just prepare a cheery response in case someone has the guts to say something to you - “A healthy mouth is the foundation of good health!” Brush away. ✨ 🦷 ✨
Definitely not weird. I’ve seen people do this often here in the US.

No objection whatsoever. You do you.
If someone doesn't like it, that's on them. It's not like you're doing it in the kitchen / common area sink.
I wear Invisalign so I have to wash after I eat. Don’t really care if ppl see me
Agree. Teenagers in braces are supposed to brush their teeth after lunch in America too. I definitely felt weird doing it then, but I don’t think it’s weird now as an adult. I keep a travel toothbrush with me just in case a lunch makes my breath smell bad and I need to meet with people.
I’ve seen it and I’ve done it. Not every day but sometimes when needed. I say go for it!
I am Latino and I do it also. One time I did get asked if it was a Latino thing and I thought it was weird question. It has nothing to do with race just what are my habits.
It is actually quite common in Germany since our dentists tell us to do it.
If you want to brush your teeth, do it. I am also Latina and I do it. I know alot of other people who also brush their teeth after a lunch at work. Just clean after yourself when you're done and dont leave spit behind.
💯 pro brushing teeth @ work. I don’t like to smell people’s bad breath when they’re talking to me and nobody should have to smell mine if I can help it
I have worked in 2 different offices and both places people brushed their teeth after coffee or lunch, and I’ve run into people brushing their teeth. I did the same (though not regularly) and I knew multiple people who kept toothbrush/toothpaste at work. Not weird at all!
When we were in the office I used to see this at least 2-3 times per week and I never had an issue with it. I always think “wow look at this person taking their oral hygiene so seriously!” You do you!
I did it in my office in the US and no one openly questioned it
nah, people shouldn’t be paying any attention to what you’re doing in the bathroom anyways. clean yo teeth!
I don’t care what people think. You can brush, just clean after yourself. When people leave a mess, that’s disgusting.
My firm has mouth wash in the bathroom at the office
All PwC offices in the US have huge containers of listerine in the restrooms, so people are presumably brushing their teeth in there.
Christ, just brush your teeth. Don’t listen to others. Do ya thang girl
White(ish) american married to a Latino and he brushes his teeth after everything. Good habit I’ve picked up from him, but other Americans will give you disgusted looks sometimes if you brush in a public bathroom - especially if you are also American and it is obvious. Better to brush your teeth regardless - they’ll get over it.
Im an Invisalign girl so I have no choice. Perhaps when I was younger I would think it’s weird but now I’m like whatever. If people care, they are children. Most tech campuses (eg google) even have mouthwash in the bathrooms
In Europe some people do it, others not. I think most people will at least use mouthwash.
Personally I don’t see the issue with brushing your teeth in the office bathroom, if anything it should encourage everyone to do it!
