Lost my consulting job recently, and have been struggling to find other consulting jobs. I have been unemployed for two months and have an offer for a job at my Alma matter university for a full time role. It's a decent gig, but It's $20k less than what I was making. I'm thinking of taking it, given today's job market, and continuing to look for better roles. But I feel like I should really stay 9-12 months at least, right, to avoid short stints on my resume...? What are some good practices during the sales phase of a potential project to execute before the contract is signed? Seems obvious but would love some ideas on standard operating procedures that help with seamlessly handing over a signed contract to the account team. Hi all, my H1B got approved today and I am waiting on the actual physical notice. In parallel I have a L2 EAD extension request in process. My H1B is valid from oct 1 only. Do Leidos, SAIC, and other mostly-fed consulting businesses pay bonuses to all levels? If so, what does a typical bonus target look like? Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.
