Don’t be afraid of the potential move in a year, it’s also easy to explain in a simple cover letter. If you build a good reputation at your new firm, maybe you can ask for referrals for another good firm in the new county/state you move to. I would take the job!
No one is going to ding you for moving to a new city because your spouse is a doctor and got a new job there. This is where a recruiter comes in handy. Good luck!
This is a no brainer. You can easily explain the quick jump on a resume given your circumstances.

Take the money early in your career. Pay off loans, buy a house, really kill your 401k (maybe even buy a rental property or 2). Then if you want to take a step back for family or just WLB you’re fine taking the $ hit because you’ve already covered most of the big ticket items.
@OP, That's up to you based on the boundaries you set and are able to enforce.
Possibility that I maybe moving states in a year for my husbands work… also only been at my current job for 9 months. Scared look like I’m jumping around on my resume.
What would you do!?
Unfortunately no. It’s a huge variable right now - my husband is finishing residency in a year and he is starting the job search now. We have been wanting to leave NYC so we are thinking this is a good push.
Doesn't sound like there's much keeping you at your current gig. The pay bump and wfh flexibility should be easy enough to explain as to why you only stayed 9 mo.
I’m given a lot of respect, autonomy and appreciation at my current job so I feel very secure but this is just to big of a salary jump and opportunity to work with some of the best in the game. But the fact that I maybe leaving in a year is scaring me a bit
Make the jump. The job market is still pretty hot (though, admittedly cooling off), so I don't necessarily think a future employer will ding you for making the switch, either. Personally, I know a handful of people that started new jobs in the last year who also switched again a few months in.
If you don’t mind me asking, what area of law do you practice , ?
Transactional - real estate/ financing/M&A
I would seriously consider making the move. Work life balance is overrated.
I understand that. I think what I'm saying is a busy transac group is not going to have much "work life" balance (or at least it will ebb and flow). So, firms can sell "work life balance" but in reality a busy firm/practice doesnt really have that.
