Navigating through Alight website for 401k etc. Am I reading correctly that there is only around 10 to 12 funds to invest (i.e. some for targeted retirement 55, 60, 65 etc and 1 for US stock, 1 non US, same for bonds)? I was at least looking to invest in an pure SP 500 ETF or Nasqad ETF. Couldn’t find any particular ETFs or mutual funds. Maybe it is me or maybe it is just a extremely limited selection

I'm 1 year out of college and recently inherited $400k and have another $120k saved up from internships and work.

I know the standard thing to do is DCA into an index fund/ETF but is there anything else I should be doing to invest my money and hedge against inflation. I'm just concerned with the political turmoil going on and trying to figure out what ETFs I should be investing in and how much I should be putting in every week.

How would you recommend investing the money?

Made the pivot from Big 4 to Bain and frankly underwhelmed. Seems like Bains Ops capabilities / general knowledge resources / white papers are lagging the industry quite a bit. Miles behind BCG / McKinsey as well. Literally only good for PE and nothing else.

Just took this BCG Quant Reasoning test and I think I messed it up. Some of the units are so confusing. Is nearest 000s of pounds 23000 or 23? They don’t partial mark it and the whole test was filled with this sort of thing. Oh well

Read that McK is paying 2K higher than BCG this year which means BCG will probably raise again next year to at least match. However, they can’t just copy McK with 2K to match because that would look bad so they’ll have to beat it again. Then McK and Bain will follow. Barring a devastating recession, I’m guessing this means MBB is all getting raises again next year?
