By us associates are responsible for utilization but not realization. Realization comes into play Seniors and above. Not sure if it's the same everywhere or if we even call things the same names

Are you the same guy from the other post about firings? If so don't worry about it. The economy has to be really bad to fire first years for capacity yet. Saw it in 2008. At this point it's not that bad. The firm has invested a lot of time in you to date and you're too cheap to fire. Unless you have managed to convince them you are incompetent already (unlikely) I wouldn't fire first years.
What are the utilization goals at pwc? Does it include vacation time used?
