Maybe keep shopping? Unless it's a dream job or a stepping stone to something u really love I wouldn't take a pay cut

like

1) it's entry level 2) I would take an 8k cut 3) it's outside of the city in some suburban setting in jersey. What are people's thoughts?

Agreed. But I have been shopping for a long time. And the thought is, ok it's a pay cut but.... in the long term, wouldn't I be able to exit to better roles or transition to a better ER shop where I would be making more and doing more interesting work? I feel like it could be a great stepping stone and if I get an understanding of where analysts in the past have gone from this group... maybe seriously consider?

Why do you like equity research?

Interesting work. More money.

What's interesting about it? (Serious question; I don't know much about it)

Advice when looking for Tech Consulting internships in Chicago or DC Metro? My GPA (3.04) has disqualified me from most major companies. I've opted to focus my efforts into my student organizations and helping others reach their goals, in doing this I compromised for a B average. Are there any firms that will accept recommendation letters with the application? The networking route is also something I am exploring, but haven't had much success thus far. Any help is welcome! Have a great day!

Why is education deemed more valuable on a pay scale than experience? Employers will pay someone with a degree and no experience a greater salary, than someone who has exhibited the experience. Understanding that the degreed person committed to school and finished, yet that doesn't diminish what the not degreed has committed to and accomplished in their careers. This has to stop!

What resources helped you get into product marketing/Google?
Has anyone here moved from advertising to tech?
Would love to hear from a marketer about their experience getting into Google.

Is Operations paid the least at your respective firms? I was hired to a Client Service Delivery role with a heavy focus on project management. I regularly interface with leadership internally and at the client. But, I am aligned to the “Operations” capability and make the least of my teammates who perform seemingly identical work but are aligned to “Strategy and Consulting.” I worry I’m on a career path to being paid the least wherever I go, because Operations is in my title and background.

Hi all- My SO is currently at a Big4 & was initially preparing for S&O roles at GCP but given the high number of ex MBB consultants hired, they believe its just more competition to get the offer & to eventually get promoted over time.

Instead, they have decided to pursue program manager or cloud consultant roles, which they feel might have a lower barrier to entry from an assessment standpoint. Not sure if the bowl agrees but would like to get your thoughts, thanks!

Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring. Attached is a picture of them.

What should I do now?

**I'm not in Chicago
