Work and family. That’s 90%. Tips:
1. Make friends with kids the same age
2. Get your kids into your hobbies.
3. Travel with your kids
Totally normal. I live in an amazing city and feel like I only experience wherever work takes me and my home. That said, it’s important to take a moment for yourself and/or with your wife so it doesn’t become all about the kids.
Agreed - we have started getting better at that. It’s tough with school...I’m sure it will improve drastically when she’s done.
The way my wife rationalizes this is that they are only this small once and we’ll end up missing these times. I’ve given up on carving time up for myself.
That is fantastic !
I feel your pain. Between travel, wife in last year of nursing school, our 2.5 year old, and another on the way.. I feel I have zero time for myself (unselfishly)
Yep! My wife is in CRNA school- absolute GRIND. If she ever wants to go CRNA, it’s definitely worth it, but it’s intense as hell.
