Presentation doesn’t make me anxious, but the “executive presentation” where my manager, director, senior director jump on my neck and overly-criticize your keynote and the way I talk drive my crazy. This is typical at my job, wondering if consulting (MBB) is equally bad?

My manager micro manages everything I do, and I’m losing my mind. Wanted to see how any of you have handled a manager like this, and get some advice on how to tell them to literally stop.

If you see an associate has really low hours for the month, do you imagine them chillen on a beach somewhere or do you consider they probably spent most of their days sitting in front of the computer being “available”? 2. If you send an associate a random e-mail on a weekend like “Can you pull X and send to Y”, would you get annoyed if they responded saying they weren’t by a comp or would you consider it reasonable that they wouldn’t be by a comp on a weekend?

If you were attracted to a subordinate coworker would you by all means try to avoid being placed on same engagement team to avoid obvious or put more effort and request that they be put on your team?

Going through interview process at MBB for Dallas office (my current city), but will be moving to Boston in September. Will it be a problem to transfer offices so soon after joining?

I applied prior to confirming I would be making the move, or else I probably would have just applied to the Boston office.

One of the things that my ADD coach helped me with was realizing that I wasn’t prioritizing activities that help me feel recharged. Between work and home responsibilities, I was just burnt out and overwhelmed.

So now when I start to get burned out I focus on reducing auditory overwhelm, getting outside, listen to music, get comfortable, read a fun book, etc.

If a recruiter asks me if I’ve spoken to another recruiter at the company, is it okay if I lie and say no? Or should I just be honest and say yes? I’ve heard of instances where candidates have been ghosted if they say they’ve been in contact with another recruiter.
