Bain & Company I’m from Italy and will start my master’s degree at Oxbridge this fall. I got my undergrad from a target uni in continental Europe. I want to start my career in consulting, possibly MBB, in London. I know consulting firms tend to hire locally but I’d really like to work in London and that’s also one of the main reasons why I went for the Oxbridge degree. Wow… that’s f****d up. Typically with our presentations to clients we have a rule not to criticize each other and if anyone in my team tries I quickly shut that down. Internal presentations are more focused on the content of our slides and not really how the presenter delivers the message. We review slides individually and then send our feedback to the slide creator via email so criticizing the presenter is not really a thing. The slide creator is often different from the presenter as these are given by managers, Directors and Partners.
i didn’t interpret OPs message as saying he gets dog piled on in live time lol. if that’s the case then yeah not normal.
You get used to it after doing it so many times. But yes it’s tough at first
Sounds like they're trying to develop you into a more polished and effective presenter.
I think at first its hard but after a while, you will get used to it and it will become so routine that you could do it in your sleep. Good luck!
