Recently promoted to a management position (managing peers). While I know I am qualified for the job, I can’t help but feel inadequate. I’m AuDHD and very good at my job, top performer and am known for being the go to person for questions, training, help in general. People already see me as a manager… but now in the role, I’m struggling with the “did I say the right/appropriate thing” social anxiety and I feel like my team is silently judging me. How do we get past this?

If you're anything like me, the more you focus on it, the worse it gets. And then you start tripping over your words even harder and making things even more awkward. My best advice would be to stop thinking about it. Redirect yourself when you start to hyper-analyze your communication and conversations. Easier said than done, of course, but it helps me.

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. But also, they probably are, at least a little. Best you can do is work on your own inner alignment. That is were embodied calm and confidence is rooted. Without those, you'll likely always feel that sense of sharks circling.

Congrats! 🙌 I also struggle with this daily even without a promotion. What I’m trying to do is focus on the work and what I’m good at; which you KNOW you are. It so easy to be distracted by the social aspects but have to let that go because it only drains time and energy.

Imposter syndrome.

I also got promoted and struggle with this and then question my ability to handle my workload and not feel like I’m now suffering from imposter syndrome.

I have a partner who routinely ignores emails or responds to them several weeks later. He has to approve every single document sent to the client or the court, which means you have a physically go to his office to ask him to review something. Half of the time you go to meet with him in person, he’s either on a call or otherwise busy. I find that this basically creates more work and makes meeting deadlines extremely difficult. Is this normal?

Hi! I’m a young professional with less than 2 years experience, started a new job 1.5 months ago. I’m having quite some difficulties on balancing out my response time to tasks. Anyone here struggle with drinking enough water every day? Growing up, I drank a lot of soda and fruit juices but since 2020, I’ve been trying to be one of those people who always has a water bottle. They say you drink some when you first wake up but I never have a taste for it and then never remember to start drinking until about noon.

Anyone noticed that with aerobic / cardio exercises it gets more difficult to focus? It is like my mind a TV and someone else gets the remote and goes through every channel every 30 seconds or so

I work in sales as a coordinator and do a bunch of paperwork with customers online. I LOVE PEOPLE but dread going to work everyday (wfh 3x a week) because the environment is toxic. I just found out that the only positive manager on my team is leaving. I am spiraling. I have a BS in Health Science (no chemistry classes taken and minimal biology education).
