I’d go all stats. Even if you don’t have previous selling experience. I worked at a paint factory before my current sales gig and something I wrote on my resume “completed over 130% of my monthly projects” etc. etc. All they really want to know is that you are gritty, accountable, and coachable, so use the resume to tell that story about yourself and have real life scenarios that back that up when you are interviewing. Also mass apply to jobs by finding them on LinkedIn, CompGauge, G2, and RepVue then once you get the first interview is when you can actually start deciding if you like the product. That’s just what I did/my two cents

Im grateful. My job isn’t perfect, but I genuinely feel grateful to have landed in-house (after being partner at one regional firm my entire pro life before that), particularly when I read what others post about their day to day. I’ve never had nearly as much career satisfaction as I have since the switch, and I recognize how few quality in-house gigs there really are (even if we have some lunatics within our department (just as I did back in firm life)). That’s it. Just grateful.

I need some advise. I am a relatively new adjuster. I have 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, a bachelors degree in Business and an AINS from the institutes. I currently work as a GL adjuster with a TPA. I have seen a high turnover rate on my team in my short time at this position. I received maybe 2 hours of formal training and the rest has been learn by fire, even with claims in litigation. It’s a nightmare. I can’t get 5 minutes of my managers time a day. Would you leave?

I’m looking for a mentor in the tech / start up industry at the moment. I’ve been in HR for around 2-3 years and currently working in fintech for 8 months. I love the tech industry and I love how fast paced everything is. I started my career working alongside a manager that wasn’t always present and now working in HR alone. I’ve never really known if what I’m doing is right,I’d really appreciate being able to lean on and be mentored by someone who is a HR leader in the same kind of environment.

A bit uncertain about what I should do with my career. I am in a commercial role, doing some derivatives trading (mostly hedging, but getting to take some basis risk). My firm is small, and I am getting to do a lot of new things, but I’m not getting to “learn from the best”.

What should I be considering longer term? 5-10 YOE, only recently actively trading.

Hello everyone! I’ve had about 5 years of BD experience in increasingly senior roles and have done a few side projects to enhance BD operations on a consultative basis. I’m looking for a BD leadership role as a team lead or a manager but am having a hard time finding these roles. Most “BD manager” listed jobs are just BDR roles. Can anyone give me recommendations for key words to search and the best websites to find these positions? Thanks so much!
