RTO plans announced last month, I'm the only person in the office because the rest of my team is in different cities (East coast plus Chicago). What is the etiquette around approaching teams located in my office and asking if they have a spot for me?

If I send an email, I also have to follow up with her on teams multiple times, and hope after a few hours she actually does what she says she will do. I moved from public to industry recently, and I’ve always had great staff that wanted to do well and have never experienced working with someone who just doesn’t want to do the job.

How do you deal with CDs and ECDs who clearly favour the guys in the (otherwise all male) department for no reason other than they're also guys? Do you bring it up with them? Go elsewhere?

I am a woman who has been working as a tech PE investor for 8 months now, and have been feeling extremely discouraged by my experiences in this sector so far. I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬

Can I still work as a telemarketer even though I have a noticeable accent? People don't say they can't understand me but they seem relieved when they get to talk to somebody else. I'm at a target uni for Big 4 accounting. I applied for and received an offer for Summer 2023 Risk&FinancialAdvisory - Technology internship w Deloitte. I'd like to get into Big 4 consulting ideally when full-time. I'm an engineering student - I'm not going to be interested in IT audit. Summer 2023 will be the summer after sophomore year, so I'll be declining the full-time return offer and I'll be looking for a different internship after junior year.

Is 7 weeks too early to start thinking I may have made a huge mistake in switching to my current gig? I was just offered a job at another agency for $15k higher than the raise I just got. My mom was just diagnosed with cancer and was told to stop working so now I have to cover all of her expenses as well as mine and my husband’s (he’s back in school). I’d like to stay at my current agency but NEED the $. How do I navigate this?
